Yara Moustafa
My name is Yara Moustafa, I’m an educationalist and an entrepreneur with a background in economics and international development. Focused on the MENA region, I have conducted and participated in several field research and technical studies on education and sustainable development. As a professional consultant and trainer, I have lectured and trained in multiple public and private universities and training centers on leadership, project management, negotiation, entrepreneurship, and career development. Determined on deploying updated teaching methodologies and hands-on learning techniques to improve the learning experience. I coach trainers on training delivery approaches and interactive learning.
In previous projects, my role focused on mainstreaming gender elements into training programs with a team of Dutch and Egyptian experts and consultants. It was imperative to empower women and highlight their role in the agricultural sector. In addition, I was a member of the gender committee and with my team, we were successful to execute the first gender policy in one of the departments at the American University in Cairo. My roles were expanded beyond coaching professional trainers, I was in charge of managing, developing, and executing training programs and spearheading Arabic and English portfolio development programs. I'm a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), and a member of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Middle East. I founded SuDevo in Dubai and Cairo focused on 6 goals of the UN SDGs divided into the following pillars: education and training, women empowerment, food security, rural and socio-economic development, water management, and partnerships.
I believe in creating a balanced ecosystem to enable and provide access for all women to prosper. With my experience, giving women education and training means giving them the tools and access to be an integral and effective part in their communities.
