Bangladesh
Tailor Made Training “Leaving No One Behind: Maximising the Power of SRHR to Build Adaptive Capacity and Resilience to Climate Change”.
Project description: The Department of Climate and Disaster Management at JUST (Jashore University of Science and Technology) and the Department of Gender and Development Studies at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) requested this training. The implementation was carried out by Q-Point Netherlands, Gender2Connect, and RedOrange Communications.
Client: Funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Nuffic, the Tailor-Made Training (TMT)
Services rendered: The training explored the connections between gender, SRHR, and climate change resilience through an intersectional perspective. This approach is crucial in understanding how various societal power imbalances impact people’s access to sexual and reproductive health services and their vulnerability to climate change.

Mozambique
Tailor Made Training Proposal on Strengthening gender-responsive training, research, and extension in Manica. Project description: Management and staff of Mozambique Institute of Agricultural Research (IIAM), Instituto Agrário de Chimoio (IAC) and the Centro Zonal Centro (CZC), will be trained by the Q-Point and Gender2Connect consortium in gender-related issues: Gender agricultural teaching, gender in agricultural research, gender-sensitive value chain upgrading strategies, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).

Ethiopia
Training programme to build a gender-responsive agricultural vocational training system and promoting female entrepreneurship within SNNPRS Ethiopia.Project description: Management and staff of Woreta Sodo ATVET will be trained by the Q-Point consortium consisting of Gender2Connect and Youth and Education Support Service Ethiopia (YESS Ethiopia) and in gender-related issues: youth empowerment, gender and inclusion, gender-responsive learning environment, incubation and entrepreneurial skills targeting youth.

Project description: Management and staff of of INMAAI Center will be trained by the Q-Point consortium with partners Gender2Connect and SOS Sudan in gender-related issues: gender mainstreaming, value chain management, entrepreneurship, and business challenges.

Engineering and flood risk through a gender lens: expanding capabilities in remote sensing and raising awareness of gender-based vulnerabilities for improved flood risk management in Bangladesh. Project description: Management and staff of Institute of Water and Flood Management (IWFM) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) will be trained by the HKV consortium with the partner Gender2Connect and Q-Point bv in gender-related issues: Google Earth Engine (GEE) and Gender in flood risk management.

Project description: Management and staff of The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) will be trained by the Q-Point consortium with the partners Gender2Connect and Africa Development Consultant Ltd (ADC) in gender-related issues: gender mainstreaming in educational institutes, proposal writing, incubation and entrepreneurial skills for sustainable development targeting FAWE girls and graduates.
